Li acid can be obtained by the reaction of Phenylboronic acid and 3-cyano-4-fluorophenyl sulfone. First, Phenylboronic acid was reacted with thionyl chloride to give Phenylboronic acid dichloroester, and then reacted with 3-cyano-4-fluorophenylsulfone under alkaline conditions to give acid.
